Suburban Water Systems serves portions of Hacienda Heights through its San Jose Hills system, which also covers West Covina and parts of Walnut, La Puente and the City of Industry. Unusually for this part of the county, most of what that system delivers is local rather than imported.

Those are source figures, measured before blending, so a given tap sits somewhere in that spread. Suburban disinfects with chlorine and chloramines and says customers may at times notice a chlorine taste or odor. Hardness is a secondary standard rather than a health standard, so what it shows up as is scale, spotting and soap that has to work harder. Suburban does not serve every Hacienda Heights address, so it is worth checking whose name is on your bill.
